But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control persevance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
For if these things are yours and abount, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his sins.

Guard your heart
Above all guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life.
Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life.
The Lord says that we can hide His Word in our hearts that we might not sin against Him.
Guarding our hearts is only possible through Jesus Christ. He is our righteousness. He is our LIFE. He gave us abundant grace and the GIFT of righteousness. You can't work your way to heaven or there would be some proud folks up there looking down at the humble who just TRUST the Lord. All our works are as dirty rags anyway. But earning our salvation would make for pride and pride comes before a fall. So, I dare to trust Jesus to guard my heart.
A heart left unguarded will become hardened to stone. A heart left out aching alone without Christ cannot love, find joy, or peace, or have any compassion for others who ache.
God promises to take out our heart of stone and give us a heart of flesh.
Why would one want a heart of flesh?
A heart of flesh HURTS when it is abused. It aches for those who hurt. A heart of flesh makes one to cry over abuse, you face or you hear of. A heart of stone can hate with no fear. A heart of flesh can LOVE though.
A heart of stone is unable to love. It doesn't cry much. But it does not have the capacity to love God or others even.
A heart of flesh is painful to be granted at first. BUT a heart of flesh has a value much greater than we even yet know. Out of the heart spring forth the issues of LIFE.
God promised that He would give us a heart to know Him and He would be our Lord and we will be His people.
And we were all created with that one piece missing inside our hearts. We try to fill it with all kinds of junk. Things to do, things to see, things to fix the broken me... Only God can fill that gaping hole in me. How many things I have tried over 40 years I cannot number them.
God promises that LOVE never fails.
Every other fix to fill the hole of my missing me has FAILED!
Short of LOVE pure and simple from God Most High all I tried has failed to heal me. In fact I was often worse off for trying them.
A heart of FLESH needs a GOD Who LOVES to fill it up with LOVE most pure.
So tears may be the first sign of a heart able to love, joy and peace are the end of a heart kept diligently guarded and TRUSTING fully in Jesus Christ to perfect and purify.
GLORY is promised for those who LOVE the LORD.
When I sow in tears, I am assured by His Word, that later I shall reap with JOY.
I speak in FAITH believing God KNOWS.
He says IF you can believe, ALL things are possible to he who believes.
I do believe.
He also said, Let it be unto you as you have believed.
Belief and Faith live in the heart. Since the wicked one hates God but can't touch God Most High, the wicked one wants to steal our faith from our heart so we die.
Doubt and Fear and Confusion are sent to steal the LIFE out of our heart while we wait for the GLORY of God to show up inside US.
That day, it shall be as He said: Out of our hearts shall flow rivers of living water.
Until then, I am guarding my heart... Taking captive my thoughts...
If love fails, there is no hope of anything else to hold up.
So, I believe that LOVE is as unfailing as God is Most High.
Guard your heart. Take captive every thought to the obedience of Christ.
He doesn't want to make us miss out on anything. He made us and has the plans to the make us truly happy inside and out. Its the wicked one who is stealing our joy now and trying to keep us from finding our home in God's LOVE for eternity.
The bible is like the unix bible programming system guide for our internal programming. Like Bill Gates writes on Word.doc, God created our programming and our whole system inside and out. His life for dummies book is the BIBLE. It tells us what works and what does not.
I can believe!!! So believe I do.
